Summer Scouting Report: TE Austin Allen, Nebraska

I don’t think Austin Allen’s testing will wow anyone, but there is no denying his natural ability to move to space and use his athleticism well… Really displays great upper body strength… Not a particularly adept route runner, but certainly effective enough… Allen ran a good variety of routes at Nebraska, ranging from possession/check down routes to vertical, deep routes, and showed effectiveness in both areas… Excellent hands, rarely see him drop passes he gets hands on… Allen brings suitable vertical ability with his combination of size and athleticism… Flashes the ability to hang on to tough catches in tough situations… Shows good strength getting a downfield push on the defender in run blocking situations.
