The second year under head coach Clark Lea is underway for the Vanderbilt Commodores, a tenure now becoming filled with promise and hope for Vanderbilt faithful.

One could make the argument that this class is one of the best ever in Vanderbilt team history, despite it still ranking in the cellar of the SEC. The Commodores landed two of their top twenty prospects of all time, per 247Sports, in linebacker Daniel Martin (12th all-time) and safety Jadais Richards (18th all-time). The Commodores landed three four-star prospects, the most that Vanderbilt has recruited in a single season since 2018.

Not only did Vanderbilt land a higher national ranking (31st) than they have in quite some time (since 2013), but their average player grade on 247 sports was the highest average in the last decade. Vanderbilt killed this recruiting class and it shows immense promise under Coach Lea.
