The NFL Draft season is in full swing following the conclusion of the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, this last week. In today’s Pro Day Update on Football Sapient, we will be talking about the players out of Miami (OH) who performed in their pro day today, the only school holding such an event.
Today, NFL Draft prospects including edge rusher Dominique Robinson, safety Sterling Weatherford and cornerback Mike Brown worked out for about a dozen NFL teams. We do know that the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington Commanders were in attendance.
Sterling Weatherford is another prospect who should have been in Indianapolis for the Combine and was snubbed for some unknown reason. Not only did he measure in well, but he tested extremely well.
It’s also worth noting that Youngstown State tight end Alec Ogletree participated in the pro day with Miami as well. Ogletree broke out with an impressive Hula Bowl performance, but didn’t seem to attract any real attention after that. He measured in just under 6’6″ and at 260 pounds, ran a high 4.7 forty yard dash, pushed 26 reps on the bench press, and jumped 35″ on his vertical and 10’1″ on the broad jump.
